SHIPSTON HIGH CELEBRATES RECORD GCSE RESULTS!

A new school record of 78% of students have achieved five or more GCSE passes at grades A*-C in the recent 2010 examinations.  Of these, 68% have achieved the national target of five or more passes, including in English and Mathematics, at grades A*-C. This latter figure is an impressive 20% improvement on the school's equivalent figure for 2009.  This means the school has been placed in the top 20% of all secondary schools (including grammar and independent schools) in the whole country!

NEW SENIOR PREFECTS

Shipston High School has just announced its new Senior Prefects for the academic year 2010-11. 

Connor Clemons and Mackenzie Smith will take on the role of Head Prefects with their deputies being Mark Treadwell and Chrissy Haine.  All students had to undergo a very testing selection process culminating in formal interviews.  The successful students received their prefect ties during the end of term Celebration Assembly and will start their new duties in September.

 

OPEN EVENING AND OPEN MORNING

Shipston High School will be holding its annual Open Evening for prospective new students and their parents on Wednesday 22nd September from 7.00 p.m. - 9.00 p.m.  An Open Morning will be taking place on Tuesday 28th September from 10.00 a.m. - 12 noon.  Further details will be available early in the Autumn Term.
