September 2020 entry

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, in line with other local schools, we will not be holding our usual Open Evening this year, as the number of potential visitors on site would make it impossible for us to adhere to the Government’s guidelines on keeping everyone safe.

Similarly, we will not be in a position to accommodate potential parent visits to view the school as we have done in previous years.

We are very aware that, quite rightly, parents want to make informed decisions about their choice of secondary school and Shipston High School is looking forward to sharing an insight into our positive learning community as families consider the right secondary school for 2021.

This year we are welcoming families to view the school online. The school website will carry a range of information to give you a flavour of the school and our learning focused ethos. We anticipate that an easily accessible mix of short films and downloadable prospectus will combine to provide an informative view of the school that you can access at your convenience.

We will, of course, welcome any questions, either by telephone or e-mail, that prospective parents may have and a “Frequently Asked Questions” section will evolve during the course of the Autumn Term as a further point of reference.

I trust that these steps provide reassurance that in these difficult times we are doing our very best to ensure that the information prospective parents and pupils need is readily accessible to all.
