The Shires Teaching School Alliance (TSA) is a partnership between an alliance of good and outstanding schools in South Warwickshire and the University of Worcester. The TSA offers the opportunity to train to teach through a one year post-graduate programme. Trainees will be placed within at least two alliance schools, one option being Shipston High School, whilst pursuing their course.

Shipston High School are committed to training and developing teachers for the future. We are delighted to be part of this impressive alliance of schools, all of which will work together to continue to develop high quality teaching in Warwickshire.

By choosing this training route you are opting to spend a significant time in classrooms with pupils, putting into practice the theory of learning and applying the knowledge gained in schools. You’ll become part of the team, treated as a professional and supported throughout.

You will experience teaching in schools within the alliance, mentored all the way. Your timetable will build as you start to develop your teaching skills. Successful graduation will see you achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Post-Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE).
